CALL FOR ENTRIES SUBMISSION

 

Festival which exclusively exhibits only Short Films to the audience of Surat and different parts of world under the Competitive and Non Competitive Sections.

 

ENTRY: Open for both Indian and International Short Film submissions of professional, student and amateur works.

 

CATEGORY: Competition and Non Competition

 

ELEGIBILITY: Competition (All films produced after 31st January till January 2012)
                            Non Competition (All films produced before January 2008)

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT GIFFI: Attractive cash awards and prizes will be given for the best entries from around the globe. An average of 60 short films will be short listed from the entries and screen during the three festival days.

 

Talent Contest:

Bollywood Dance, Folk Dance, Western Dance, Fusion, Medley, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Indian Classical Dance (Bharat Natyam, Kathak, Kathakali, Manipuri, Odissi, Mohni Attam)

 

Age Categories: Below 12 years above 12 years open for all.

Note: Indian Classical Dance: Age Group is between 12 to 17 years and 18 to 40 years.

Registration Fees : Rs. 400/- (Solo) Rs. 600/- (Group, Duet and Trio)

 

Silver Screen & Stage Profile:

The organizers have arranged 16:9 Silver Screening the film and a stage for various cultural shows with 2000 peoples capacity dome.

 

Event Profile:

Film makers from all over the world will take part to exhibit their film at the 2nd International Short Film & Food Festival, 2012.

            Last year, 125 films from all over the world had been screened. This year also we have planned to entertain the visitors of this festival by presenting various dances music, songs etc. from different states of India, such as Rajashthani, Panjabi, Kokni, Bollywood dance, Classical and folk dance etc. during the festival.

 

Food Festival, Exhibition & Stall Booking:

            Being encouraged by the grand success of the last year’s festival, we have planned to organize “Food Festival and Exhibition”. Which would include food stalls serving various regional dishes – Gujarati, Panjabi, Rajasthani, South Indian, Bengali, Lucknowy etc. and break – fasts, handicraft, hosieries, electronic items, educational, LIC, Banking, Art Gallery, Medical, Shoes, Sarees, Dress Materials, Tour and Travels, Marketing display etc.

 

 

This year nearly one lakh visitors are expected to visit this festival. So If you desire to book your stall for this event, you are welcome to do so, on first come first serve basis.
